At Cap and Gown Outlet, we strive to ensure your complete satisfaction. Please review our return, exchange, and cancellation policies carefully before placing your order.

Final Sale & Custom Orders

  • All custom-made, personalized, or special-order items are final sale and non-refundable..
  • Customized products cannot be canceled once production has begun.

Return & Exchange Eligibility

To qualify for a return or exchange:

  • Items must be new, unused, unwashed, and unaltered.
  • All original packaging, tags, and accessories must be included.
  • Opened, worn, damaged, or altered merchandise is not eligible for return.

Return Request Timeline

  • Return or exchange requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.
  • Approved returns must be received within 7 business days of authorization.

Return Authorization Required

All returns and exchanges require prior authorization.

To request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, please contact: sales@capandgownoutlet.com

Please include your approved Return/Exchange Form inside the package.

Refunds & Restocking Fees

Approved returns may be subject to the following:

  • An 18% repacking, cleaning, and restocking fee, depending on the product type.
  • An 8% credit card processing feewill be deducted from all approved refunds and returned orders
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • Customers are responsible for all return and exchange shipping costs.

Refund Processing

  • Refunds and exchanges are processed within 7–10 business days after the returned item is received and inspected.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout.

Tiered Pricing Adjustments

If a return changes the original order quantity and affects bulk or tiered pricing eligibility, pricing adjustments may apply to the remaining items.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item:

  • Claims must be reported within 5 days of delivery.
  • Please email photos and order details for verification.
  • Eligible items will be replaced at no additional cost.

Important: We are not responsible for theft, loss, or damage occurring after delivery has been confirmed by the carrier.

Order Cancellations

In-Stock Items

  • Orders may be canceled any time before shipment.

Custom or Personalized Items

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted within 24 hours of placing the order.
  • Once production begins, cancellations are no longer possible.

Orders Already Shipped

  • Shipped orders cannot be canceled but may qualify for return according to our return policy.

Cancellation Fees

  • Orders canceled after 5:00 PM EST on the same day of purchase are subject to an 8% credit card processing fee.
  • Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

Color & Product Appearance Disclaimer

Product colors shown on our website may vary slightly due to:

  • Monitor and screen display settings
  • Lighting conditions
  • Fabric dye lot variations

Cap and Gown Outlet cannot guarantee exact color matching with products purchased from other vendors or previous production batches.

Return Shipping Instructions

Please follow these steps carefully when returning merchandise:

  1. Obtain an authorized RMA number before shipping your return.
  2. Clearly write the RMA number on the outside of the package.
  3. Include a copy of your original invoice (if available).
  4. Add a note with:
    • Your contact information
    • Your RMA number
    • Whether you are requesting a refund or exchange

Refused or Undeliverable Shipments

Packages returned to us by the carrier as refused or undeliverable are not eligible for complimentary reshipping.

  • Additional shipping charges will apply for reshipment requests.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
