Aims Community College

Aims Community College’s commencement ceremony is a formal academic celebration where graduates don full academic regalia: the graduation gown, graduation cap (mortarboard), and tassel sets. The official Commencement page states that graduates are required to wear a black gown, black mortar board and either a black-and-red tassel or the gold tassel reserved for the Phi Theta Kappa honor society.

Graduates must order cap, gown and tassel sets in advance via the campus bookstore to participate.

The ceremony is held at the Welcome Center Auditorium in Greeley, Colorado, and students and faculty gather to mark credential conferral.

Participants may also wear approved honor cords, stoles or program stoles (such as black with red trim for student government, teal for MOSAIC, red with white trim for nursing) that align with departmental or organizational recognition.
