Cleveland Community College

Cleveland Community College (CCC), based in Shelby, North Carolina, holds its main commencement ceremony in May, typically at the James B. Petty Amphitheater on campus. Students must apply to graduate by March 1 for spring (and summer-walk) graduation. CCC’s “Applying for Graduation” page clearly states that students can purchase their graduation gown, cap, and tassel package via the CCC Spirit Shop; if graduates already own a black cap and gown from a previous ceremony, they need only buy a tassel.

For academic regalia, CCC expects a traditional black graduation gown and mortarboard cap. The tassel should be worn on the right side of the cap before the ceremony, as per their graduation night instructions.   • Blue & White Cord + Medallion for Cleveland Early College High School graduates
  • Red, Black & White Cord for TRIO-Student Support Services graduates
  • Blue Cord for Career & College Promise program graduates

CCC does not publicly document any discipline-based academic regalia color for hoods or faculty regalia in its handbooks or student-facing graduation policy. The focus is primarily on cords and stoles denoting honors and affiliations, rather than field-specific velvet trim or hoods.

Cleveland Community College Cap, Gown & Tassel Bundle
