Park University

Park University conducts its annual Kansas City Area commencement ceremony at the Cable Dahmer Arena (Independence, Missouri). Graduates who intend to participate must submit an “Application for Diploma” by March 15 of the graduation year. After that, cap and gown ordering information is sent to their student email; regalia must be ordered in advance to qualify for the ceremony. All undergraduate students receive a stole — draped over their shoulders and worn over the gown — as part of their regalia.

Eligible graduates — for example undergraduates with requisite GPA or honor status — may receive honor cords or military cords, as defined in the commencement handbook. International or heritage students may wear their international sash or approved stoles instead of the standard stole.

The academic‑regalia policy at Park University distinguishes between bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral gowns in the traditional academic‑dress style: bachelor’s gowns with straight sleeves, master’s gowns with the extended blind pouch, and doctoral gowns featuring velvet facing and three velvet sleeve stripes. Caps are mortarboards; tassels are worn on the right before degree conferral and moved to the left when the degree is conferred.

However — and importantly — publicly available Park University documents (handbooks and commencement manuals) do not specify any fixed color scheme for the graduation gown, cap, tassel, stole, honor cord, or faculty regalia by degree level or discipline. No color‑coding standard or color chart is published in these resources.

In summary: Park University ensures that graduates receive and wear formal academic regalia (cap, gown, stole, optional cords/stoles for honors or heritage), and follows standard academic‑dress conventions (gown style by degree, mortarboard cap, tassel movement at conferral). But because the institution does not publish a standardized color guideline for graduation gowns, caps, tassels, honor cords, stoles or faculty regalia, it is not possible — based on public documentation — to definitively state what “graduation gown color”, “tassel color”, “honor cord/stole color”, or “faculty regalia color” should be for any degree level or discipline at Park University.
