Peninsula College Commencement — Cap, Gown, Tassel & Regalia Guide

Peninsula College holds its annual commencement ceremony each June. Students must submit a “Degree Application” to become eligible to graduate, and those within 10 credits may still participate.

For all participating students, regalia — including mortarboard cap, gown, and tassel — is provided as part of a “Graduation Pack.” Graduates pick up their full regalia packet (cap, gown, tassel, bachelor’s hood if approved, honor cords if eligible, and diploma cover) at the campus bookstore (“Bookaneer”). Extras (tassels or diploma covers) remain available for purchase for non‑participating students.

The regalia packet may include, when applicable, a hood for Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree candidates. Honor cords are also included for eligible honors recipients. However — the publicly available Peninsula College website does **not** publish a detailed color‑chart or handbook specifying tassel color, hood trim color, stole colors, or cords by discipline or academic field. There is no official listing of discipline‑based academic‑regalia colors or standard tassel color schemes.

As a result: while Peninsula College clearly documents that cap, gown and tassel (and hood if applicable) are mandatory for commencement participation, and that honor cords are issued to eligible graduates, there is **no** publicly verified standard for tassel colors, hood trim colors, stoles, or discipline‑based regalia color coding. Any external product listing that claims “official Peninsula College tassel, hood, or stole colors by major or honors level” should be considered speculative — unless verified by the campus Bookaneer or Registrar.

In summary: Peninsula College’s commencement requires approved academic regalia (cap, gown, tassel; hood for approved degrees). Honor cords are provided for eligible graduates. But official public documentation does not define or publish a standard color‑scheme for tassels, hoods, stoles or discipline‑based regalia. Only the basic cap‑gown‑tassel (and hood when applicable) set can be regarded as official.

  • Graduation cap, gown & tassel required — provided via Graduation Pack at the campus Bookaneer.
  • Graduation Pack may include bachelor’s hood (if approved), honor cords, diploma cover when applicable.
  • Honor cords awarded to eligible students — included in the Graduation Pack.
  • No publicly available color‑chart or policy for tassel colors, hood colors, stoles, or discipline‑based regalia for Peninsula College.
  • Any tassel/hood/cord/stole color claims beyond the standard pack should be treated as custom or optional unless explicitly verified by the College.
  • Products advertised as “Peninsula College official cap & gown” should reflect only the verified components: cap, gown, tassel (and hood if applicable).

Note: To confirm the exact colors of the graduation gown, cap, tassel, honor cords, and stoles for your specific program at Peninsula College, you can reach out directly to the college's administration or the office responsible for commencement and student services. They can provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding academic regalia.
