Provo College Commencement & Academic Regalia

Provo College hosts annual graduation ceremonies for students who complete their program requirements and submit a graduation application. All graduates participating in Commencement are required to wear a black cap and gown. Graduates may order their regalia in advance through the college’s official vendor.

The standard graduation gown is a matte-black robe. Each graduate also wears a mortarboard graduation cap with a tassel. The college does not publicly provide alternate gown colors for different degree levels, and there is no official color-coded system for tassels, honor cords, or stoles.

Honor cords and stoles are not officially mandated by Provo College. Any colored tassels, stoles, or cords are optional, vendor-provided accessories intended for personal commemoration or display of achievements. The college does not publish a discipline-specific or degree-level color chart.

Faculty or staff regalia is not publicly described. Faculty participation in Commencement may involve wearing academic gowns, caps, or sashes at their discretion or through the same vendor system.
